Regarding 'if at the time of enjoyment, establishing contact-food, and so forth': when morsel food is first obtained, chewed in the mouth, and even enters the belly but has not yet fallen into the stomach, it is not yet called morsel food; it merely generates the mental factor of contact associated with the various consciousnesses, thus establishing contact-food. For this reason, morsel food is subsumed under three sensory fields and does not establish visible form, etc., because holding it in the mouth and chewing it has no [sustaining] efficacy; only when it reaches the stage of alteration and digestion do odor, etc., possess efficacy to harm or benefit.
