上來攝決擇分有十二段中初有七卷，合決五識身地意地已訖。自下第二有四卷，合決有尋有伺等三地。於中，初結前生後；次正決擇；後總結。

In the preceding twelve sections of the Viniścayasaṃgrahaṇī, the first seven fascicles combined the determination of the stage of the five consciousness-bodies and the mental stage, which has now been completed. From here below, the second part comprises four fascicles, combining the determination of the three stages including the stage with investigation and with reflection. Therein, first, it connects the preceding to introduce the following; next, it gives the formal determination; finally, it summarizes.
