16.38

前中，第一作業門六番問答。最後三根，趣證涅槃者，遠近通說，前二趣涅槃，後一正證涅槃為業。

In the former part, the first gate of operation consists of six pairs of questions and answers. Regarding the last three faculties proceeding toward the realization of nirvāṇa, this is spoken of generally in terms of the distant and near: the first two proceed toward nirvāṇa, and the last one directly realizes nirvāṇa as its operation.
