Tai preserves both explanations. Furthermore, it says: In the Western countries they speak of 'hairy-eared people'; having hair in their ear canals, it obstructs sound so they do not hear human voices. Sixth, doubt is like a fork in the road. Seventh, pride of self is named the Cakravāḍa iron surrounding mountains, because pride of self obstructs one from seeking transcendence of the world, just as the Cakravāḍa mountains are difficult to cross.
