解云：綺語有二。一、相應綺語，即前三語非義非時，名為綺語，方便究竟時，如前三語。二、獨頭綺語，若為他說外道邪論，若為調𠱚前人而作歌詠，亦便他解方成究竟，若私屏自有歌詠哭泣悲歎，纔發言詞即成業道。

Explanation: Frivolous chatter has two kinds. First, associated frivolous chatter: the previous three types of speech, when lacking meaning and improper in timing, are called frivolous chatter; the times of preliminary effort and culmination are like the previous three types of speech. Second, isolated frivolous chatter: if one expounds non-Buddhist heterodox treatises for others, or sings songs to mock another person, it also requires the other's comprehension to constitute culmination; if in private seclusion one sings, weeps, or laments on one's own, as soon as the words are uttered it immediately constitutes a path of action.
