Third, clarifying that its sequence has four [types]: 1. Sequence of projection, meaning that the substances of ignorance and formations are the nature of karma and affliction, able to project and lead. 2. Sequence of arising: consciousness generates name-and-form, name-and-form generates the six sense bases, directly based on active arising generating one another in succession. 3. Sequence of experiencing objects: the six sense bases generate contact, contact generates feeling, actively experiencing objects. 4. Sequence of experiencing suffering: the five links from craving onward, the first three being causes of suffering and the latter two being fruitions of suffering, collectively clarifying the sequence of experiencing suffering, as stated earlier in the tenth fascicle of the *Maulī Bhūmiḥ* regarding the suffering of the womb in the five links.
