答:以空定故,故能引往還無礙,故對法第十三言,以得無定伏除色想無能除故。若得往還無礙未得空處亦得,然障未盡,今約定障盡處語,要得空處能除此障。

Answer: Because of the absorption of space, one can therefore elicit unobstructed movement back and forth. Hence the thirteenth fascicle of the Abhidharma[-samuccaya] states: 'Because by obtaining the absorption of space, one subdues and eliminates the notion of form, which nothing else can eliminate.' If one attains unobstructed movement back and forth without having attained the space base, one may still obtain it, yet the obstruction is not exhausted. Here, speaking in terms of where meditative obstructions are exhausted, one must attain the space base to be able to eliminate this obstruction.
