In this, Jing says: 'One should know that it is because it is constant before and after, because it has no counterpart' clarifies that the tathatā revealed by the two emptinesses is precisely the fruit comprehended by right view. 'Before' refers to ordinary beings; 'after' refers to noble ones. Although passing through before and after, its essence is constantly unchanging, unlike the path of the trainee, which arises dependent upon the remaining afflictions; if what is to be eliminated is absent, it ceases and does not arise; dependent upon what is to be remedied, it sometimes arises and sometimes ceases, and therefore it is called 'having a counterpart'. This sentence establishes the proposition.
