答：禪支據已入法，信是入法初方便門，故信在道品不立禪支，禪支順住，精進策發故不順住，故在道品不在禪支，又禪支是樂道精進策勤苦而非樂，故在道品不順禪支，輕安在道品，由離惡故身心止息故立輕安，禪有受樂覆彼輕安，不立輕安。

Answer: Dhyāna limbs are based on dharmas already entered; faith is the initial expedient gateway for entering the Dharma, so faith is among the path factors and not established as a dhyāna limb. Dhyāna limbs accord with abiding; vigor urges and activates, and thus does not accord with abiding, so it is in the path factors and not in the dhyāna limbs. Furthermore, dhyāna limbs are the pleasant path; vigor is exertion and diligence, which is arduous and not pleasant, so it is among the path factors and does not accord with dhyāna limbs. As for pliancy in the path factors: because it calms body and mind through separation from evil, pliancy is established; dhyāna has felt pleasure which overshadows that pliancy, so pliancy is not established.
