18.11

言四緣者，一、知歸依生大功德；二、知所歸邪正差別；三、自誓願今時未來時捨邪歸正；四、離佛外更不說有餘大師故。

Regarding the "four conditions": first, knowing that taking refuge generates great merit; second, knowing the difference between the incorrect and correct refuges; third, making a personal vow to abandon the incorrect and take refuge in the correct in the present and future; fourth, because apart from the Buddha, one does not proclaim any other Great Master.
