西有外道，裸形無衣，以示離縛故名離繫也，彼計草木有命以增長故。
In the West there are non-Buddhists who are naked and unclothed to demonstrate freedom from bonds, hence called Nirgranthas. They impute that grasses and trees have a life-principle because they grow.
