泰云：如神通所現似十色入等色，要根本定起，神通能生，此無見無對諸色，方便定及散心，唯想心似有。然觀行未成，不如根本定起此色也。

Tai says: Forms such as the ten form-entrances manifested by supernormal powers must arise from fundamental absorption; supernormal powers are capable of producing these forms without visibility and without resistance. In preparatory absorption and scattered states of mind, there is only a resemblance in the ideational mind; but since meditative practice is not yet perfected, it is not like the fundamental absorption giving rise to this form.
