問：五識煩惱亦緣賴耶相分五塵不著，但緣自心變異影像五塵，云何於彼賴耶相分五塵，得名煩惱所緣說為有漏？

Question: The afflictions of the five consciousnesses also fail to lay hold of the five objects that are the objective parts (nimittabhāga) of the ālaya[vijñāna], but merely cognize the transformed, reflective image (pratibimba) of the five objects of their own minds; how can they be named cognitive objects of affliction with respect to those five objects that are the objective parts of the ālayavijñāna and be said to be with taints?
