The phrase "the remaining painful and pleasant feelings should be known as all born of fruition" means: excepting the initial mind of that intermediate existence, from the second thought onward the mind of the intermediate existence comprises painful and pleasant, and is born of fruition. Excepting the mind of the state of rebirth, from the second thought onward it belongs to basic existence (upapattibhavābhimukha / pūrvakālabhava). Within this, the three feelings may arise alternately and are born of fruition.
