18.419

前中，云：即此清淨，略由五因之所顯示等者，五因并是清淨。此五因中，第四心學所斷煩惱，第五慧學所斷煩惱此為雜染。

In the former part, it says: 'this very purity is briefly demonstrated by five causes,' and so forth. The five causes are all purity. Among these five causes, the afflictions severed by the fourth, training in mind, and the afflictions severed by the fifth, training in wisdom—these constitute defilement.
