First, by its intrinsic nature: the intrinsic nature possessed by this human body is demonstrated by two aspects. First, through having form, it demonstrates the common characteristic of all other bodies, because having form in common with all sentient beings is called a common characteristic. Second, through coarse heaviness, it demonstrates the individual specific characteristic of the body; having the coarse heaviness and untamed nature of afflictions individually in one's own five aggregates is called the body's specific characteristic. Third, through impurity, it demonstrates the characteristic of having a different class from the bodies of devas; the bodies of devas are pure, like the light of a lamp.
