18.536

三辨出離中，言無染出離者，如有善心拔佛前草木大乘中許，若自增善減惡此即無犯，即名出離。

In the third [part], analyzing release: regarding the words 'undefiled release', as when one with wholesome intentions removes grass and trees in front of the Buddha, which is permitted in the Mahāyāna; if it increases one's own good and decreases evil, this is non-offense, and is called release.
