言又從上地沒生下地時，從一切上地善染無記心無間唯有下地染心生等者，若依隨轉理門，從上地沒生下地時，身在上地不起下地染污心。今依真實理門，故身在上地，臨命終時起下地染污心潤生，其染污心決定於自地所生境生差別也。

Regarding the statement that when dying from a higher stage and being reborn in a lower stage, immediately following all wholesome, afflicted, and indeterminate minds of the higher stage, only an afflicted mind of the lower stage arises, etc.: if one relies on the doctrinal approach conforming to conventional reasoning, when dying from a higher stage and being reborn in a lower stage, while the body is in the higher stage, an afflicted mind of the lower stage does not arise. Now, relying on the doctrinal approach of real truth, while the body is in the higher stage, at the time of impending death an afflicted mind of the lower stage arises to moisturise rebirth; that afflicted mind definitely differentiates its arising with respect to the cognitive object of its rebirth belonging to its own stage.
