八、辨止觀，泰云：盡所有性者，知一切法自性也。如所有性者，知一切法差別也。真諦師釋為如理智，如量智者，不順梵本也。

Eighth, distinguishing śamatha and vipaśyanā. Tai says: 'As-far-as-it-extends-ness' (yāvadbhāvikatā) means knowing the own-nature of all dharmas. 'As-it-really-is-ness' (yathāvadbhāvikatā) means knowing the distinctions of all dharmas. Master Paramārtha's explanation of them as wisdom conforming to principle and wisdom conforming to measure does not follow the Sanskrit text.
