[Fascicle] 64 explains six characteristics. Form of the desire [realm] is called coarse. 1. Coarse because of multiplicity: like the male and female organs and the two sense objects of smell and taste, which exist only in the desire realm, being multiple, it is coarse; 2. heavy and sunken: the forms of the form realm are light and subtle, like radiance, whereas the forms of the desire realm are heavy, and also judged by measure, the garments of the gods of the Four Heavenly Kings weigh six ounces, up to the heavenly garments of the form realm which cannot be weighed on a scale; [3. ...]; 4. rigid: not pliable; 5. subject to deterioration: when the hands and feet of humans and gods of the desire realm are severed, they deteriorate; it is not so in the form realm.
