初云謂如成立聲聞種姓，當知菩薩，亦復如是者，此明菩薩種姓有無之義，略類如聲聞地說。

First, where it states: 'Just as the gotra of the śrāvaka is established, one should know that it is likewise for the bodhisattva,' this clarifies the meaning of the existence or non-existence of the bodhisattva gotra, being briefly analogous to what is expounded in the Śrāvakabhūmi.
