泰云:初但計五根為能取,五塵為所取,不約障治。故云計非染淨,後無記計非善惡,故無染淨。
Tai says: At first, one merely imagines the five faculties to be that which grasps and the five sensory objects to be that which is grasped, without reference to obstacles and antidotes; hence it is called imagining what is neither defiled nor pure. Afterwards, indeterminate states are imagined to be neither wholesome nor unwholesome, and hence lack defilement or purity.
