等流果以一切有為漏無漏三性自類同品劣法前聚生後同品勝法後果為性，瑜伽唯識皆又說言，或似先業後果隨轉，如由殺生得短命，此實增上假名等流，命短同故。

The fruit of outflow has as its nature the subsequent fruit of superior dharmas of the same category produced by a preceding collection of inferior dharmas of the same class and category among all conditioned, defiled, and undefiled dharmas of the three natures. Both the Yogācārabhūmi and Vijñaptimātratā also state: or it is when a subsequent fruit follows in resemblance to prior karma, as when short life is obtained through killing; this is actually a sovereign fruit, nominally designated as outflow because the shortness of life is similar.
