三藏兩解：一云，此文約方便故有尋伺，正在定位即無尋；一云，未至定中有，根本定中無。

The Tripiṭaka Master provides two explanations: One says that this text refers to preparatory states, hence there are investigation and reflection, while when actually in the concentrated state there is no investigation. The other says they exist in the threshold concentration, but not in the fundamental concentration.
