自下大文第四不如理作意中，先問後答。答中有三：初頌長行總列十六異論，次因中有果論者下，別牒歷破，後如是十六種異論下，結成前破。

Next below is the fourth major section, on improper mental application, in which there is first a question and then an answer. Within the answer there are three parts: first, the verses and prose comprehensively list the sixteen heterodox doctrines; next, from 'those who assert an effect in the cause' onwards, each is individually taken up and refuted in succession; finally, from 'such sixteen kinds of heterodox doctrines' onwards, the previous refutations are concluded.
