The explanation says: Such as the doctrine positing a self arises based on the view of a self; the doctrine of annihilation and the doctrine of permanence arise based on extreme views; the doctrine positing the supreme and the doctrine positing purification arise generally based on clinging to views and clinging to precepts and vows—alternatively, although the doctrine positing the supreme posits the supreme, it does not attach to a view, so it is not clinging to views and is subsumed under wrong view; the other doctrines all arise based on wrong view. Whatever is not subsumed by the combination of the four views is wrong view; wrong view is the broadest, and does not merely deny existence, unlike [the definition in] the Hīnayāna treatises.
