初中有二：初、申三難，後如是自相故下，總結文。三難者，一、一異自相難；二、常等共相難；三、來等七義難。

The first section has two parts: first, presenting the three challenges; next, concluding the passage from "Because such is the own-characteristic..." downward. The three challenges are: 1. The challenge regarding the identity or difference of the own-characteristic; 2. The challenge regarding common characteristics such as permanence; 3. The challenge regarding the seven senses such as coming.
