下敘佛法內計，無有一切諸法體性者，前外道邪見別空所無，今內道空見總撥一切，故總問答。相似甚深離言說法者，即般若等密說空教，似都無而非一向空，不能解故將為顯了撥一切空，又於法相不如理思故，便撥諸法。

Next, in setting forth the internal tenets of Buddhism, regarding 'having no intrinsic nature of any phenomena whatsoever': while the previous wrong views of non-Buddhists specifically negated particular things, the Buddhist view of emptiness here totally denies everything; hence, there is an overarching question and answer. Regarding 'teachings on the ineffable that resemble profound [truth]': this refers to the teachings of emptiness secretly spoken in the Prajñāpāramitā and other sūtras, which seem to denote total non-existence but are not unequivocally empty. Because they are unable to understand them, they take them to be explicit and deny everything as empty; furthermore, because they do not think properly about the characteristics of phenomena, they deny all phenomena.
