2.368

煩惱上品中，猛利相及應重相者，即舊所言利與勸也。謂緣尊重田者，於父母處起。若緣功德田者，於三寶境起。若緣不應行田而起者，於持戒者及有德者、究竟者，最初聖道究竟所害。

Under the highest grade of afflictions, "the fierce aspect and the aspect of being weighty": these are what were formerly called sharpness and persuasion. 'Taking a field of respect as object' arises toward parents. 'Taking a field of merit as object' arises toward the Three Jewels. 'Arising by taking an inappropriate field as object' arises toward those who maintain the precepts, the virtuous, and the perfected; they are definitively destroyed by the initial noble path.
