殺生有三：一、總指經，二、別牒釋，後、結略義。別牒釋經九句，除總句故。

Killing living beings has three parts: first, a general reference to the sūtra; second, individually citing and explaining [it]; and finally, concluding with the summarized meaning. Individually citing and explaining the sūtra consists of nine phrases, setting aside the general phrase.
