次攝十二為三：一、尸羅語謂初一；二、等歡喜語謂次三語；三、說法語謂後八語。

Next, the twelve are subsumed into three: first, ethical speech, which refers to the first; second, equally delightful speech, which refers to the next three; third, Dharma-expounding speech, which refers to the last eight.
