Therein, the five faults invert the previous five virtues in order: 1. defiled practice—to speak of giving up without discernment is delusion; 2. not ultimate, because it is impermanent; 3. not definitively fixed, because joy and love arise at one time while sorrow and anger arise at another, and so on; 4. not unlost, because those with a wrong life of wisdom, though having abandoned desire, fall back and give rise to it again; 5. not real, as shown by the last two occurrences of the character 'furthermore' (又).
