答：一切眾生不定業多自由福盡，故有中夭，不同欲天食數起增上現行，但損天報得名自害。

Answer: For all sentient beings, indeterminate karma is predominant, and [untimely death] arises naturally when merit is exhausted; thus there is untimely death. It is unlike the desire-realm devas, who repeatedly give rise to magnified active manifestations regarding food, which merely damages their heavenly retribution and so is called 'self-harm'.
