下辨七種真如。基師等云：中邊分別論亦明此七。舊人說云：中邊論中七真如者，正真如隨其能詮說為苦說苦諦等。今解：此論意以苦諦等名為真如故，名真如體非真如也。若依此論皆是真如，約詮以辨有七種。

Below, the seven kinds of tathatā are distinguished. Master Ji and others say: The Madhyāntavibhāga also explains these seven. The older masters said: The seven kinds of tathatā in the Madhyāntavibhāga are simply the true tathatā spoken of in accordance with its expressing words as the truth of suffering, and so on. Now it is explained: The intention of this śāstra is that the truth of suffering and the rest are designated as tathatā; therefore, they are named tathatā, but their essence is not tathatā. If one relies on this śāstra, they are all tathatā, distinguished as seven kinds in terms of the expressing teachings.
