21.445

前中，言如是建立諸經文義體已者，結前所明文義解前體門，總名為體，則攝文義三為一門。諸說法者乃至後應辨次第者，此以法等起義釋難次第解彼釋門，總名為釋。前解偈中攝彼十四為七門者，依此處文故，依此解於前偈，若不作此解，於此處文不可消釋。

In the former, as for "having thus established the texts, meanings, and entities of the sūtras": it concludes the preceding clarification of texts and meanings to explain the preceding gate of entity; collectively they are called entity, which subsumes the three of text and meaning into one gate. From "those who preach the Dharma" up to "later one should distinguish the sequence": this resolves difficulties concerning the sequence by means of dharmas and their arising, explaining that gate of explanation; collectively it is called explanation. In the previous explanation of the verse, subsuming those fourteen into seven gates was based on the text here; hence based on this, the preceding verse was explained. If one did not make this explanation, the text here could not be resolved.
