訓釋言詞，復由五種：一、由相故立名；二、由自性故立名；三、由業用故立名；四、由法爾故立名；五、由因果故立名。

The etymological analysis of terms (nirukti) is also based on five kinds: first, establishing names by characteristic; second, establishing names by intrinsic nature; third, establishing names by activity and function; fourth, establishing names by the nature of things (dharmatā); fifth, establishing names by cause and effect.
