Regarding the statement 'It should be known that these three further have distinctions: the desire, form, and formless realms, respectively': Master Jing says: 'Moistened by joy and craving' refers first to the desire realm; furthermore, when that consciousness rolls on in such a manner, it should be known that in the two places of rebirth, the linking of existences continues and expands: one, in the realm with form, is the form realm; two, in the formless realm, is the formless realm. Another explanation states: based on a human's beginning and end, there are three; within the preceding three realms there are also these distinctions: the first is the desire realm, the next is the form realm because gestation is complete, and the last is the formless realm because it emerges from the form-gestation.
