22.498

前中有四：一、此中如來自然修三十七菩提分法，現等正覺；第二、等正覺已，了達諸法；三、如是了達勝法已下，明法已下，明解脫二障；四、與諸天眾為解脫師獨一無二。了此四相，是名自然等覺菩提，不與聲聞共也。

In the former, there are four: 1. here, the Tathāgata spontaneously cultivates the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment and directly awakens to complete enlightenment; 2. having awakened to complete enlightenment, he thoroughly comprehends all phenomena; 3. from 'having thus comprehended the superior Dharma' onward, it explains liberation from the two obscurations; and 4. being the liberation master for the assemblies of gods, one without a second. Thoroughly comprehending these four characteristics is called spontaneously awakening to enlightenment, which is not shared with the śrāvakas.
