二、由御眾，謂外道於弟子徒眾之中，希彼眾共許我為師，以外道弟子有數限故，名有量也，如來雖為一切無量天人世間無上大師於彼同尊，而無希望。

Second, by guiding the assembly: non-Buddhists, among their disciples and followers, hope that the assembly will together accept them as a teacher; because the disciples of non-Buddhists have a limited number, this is called "having measure." Although the Tathāgata is the unsurpassed Great Master of all boundless devas, humans, and the world, revered by them equally, he has no such hope.
