既命終已乃至隨轉不絕者，正明前際命絕，由前際十因中際二果生老死生，此序述也。

From 'having already ended life' up to 'revolving continuously without interruption' directly clarifies that the life in the anterior period has ended, and due to the ten causes of the anterior period, the two fruits of the intermediate period—birth and old age and death—arise; this is the introductory account.
