初頌八門者：一、沙門，二、沙門義，三、喜樂，四、一切法，五、梵行，六、數取趣，七、超，八、二染。

As for the eight topics of the first verse: first, the śramaṇa; second, the meaning of śramaṇa; third, joy and bliss; fourth, all dharmas; fifth, the holy life; sixth, the person (pudgala); seventh, transcendence; eighth, the two defilements.
