Third is to explain the path to heaven. The four verified confidences serve as the path to the pure heavens of ultimate truth. Furthermore, noble disciples who take refuge in the four verifications cultivate the six recollections based on three gates: first, to cut off the secondary defilements belonging to concentration; second, to cut off the secondary defilements belonging to wisdom; third, to cut off the two secondary defilements that may arise in the future. Based on these three, they cultivate the six recollections, namely the Buddha, Dharma, Saṅgha, precepts, giving, and heavens. Recollection obtained by virtue of conventional truth is called the valiance of Dharma, because recollection obtained by relying on the teaching of Dharma is called the valiance of Dharma.
