第五解逆順，初標舉二章，二依章別解，先解違逆學法，後解隨順學法。前中有三，初徵列五門，次釋後結，釋結中有五，初解障中徵列五門障，次第解釋。

"Fifth, the explanation of contrary and concordant [factors]: first, raising the two headings; second, explaining them individually according to the headings, first explaining the phenomena contrary to training and later explaining the phenomena concordant with training. In the former, there are three parts: first, inquiring and listing the five portals; next, explaining them; and finally, concluding. In the explanation and conclusion, there are five: first, within explaining the obstacles, it inquires and lists the five portals of obstacles, explaining them in sequence."
