老中，初別釋十七句，後結略義。結有十句，初六句各攝一句，第七威儀變壞攝次五句，第八無色諸根變壞攝第十二十三兩句，第九有色諸根變壞攝第十四十五兩句，第十時分已過壽量將盡攝第十六十七兩句。

Within aging: first, it individually explains the seventeen phrases; later, it summarizes the meaning. The summary has ten phrases: the first six phrases each subsume one phrase; the seventh, 'deterioration of deportment,' subsumes the next five phrases; the eighth, 'deterioration of non-material faculties,' subsumes the twelfth and thirteenth phrases; the ninth, 'deterioration of material faculties,' subsumes the fourteenth and fifteenth phrases; the tenth, 'time has passed and life span is nearly exhausted,' subsumes the sixteenth and seventeenth phrases.
