答:此中通說福非福不動業緣等者,三不善根唯生非福,癡不善根通福不動,故唯識說:有下無明能發上行,不爾初伏下地染者所起上定應非行支,彼地無明猶未起故,故癡不善根通發三業。
Answer: Regarding the passage "Here, it generally speaks of the conditions for meritorious, non-meritorious, and immovable karma," and so forth: the three unwholesome roots generate only non-merit, but the unwholesome root of delusion pervades merit and the immovable. Therefore the Vijñaptimātratā states: there is lower-stage ignorance that can initiate higher-stage formations; otherwise, the higher concentration arisen by one who has just subdued the defilements of a lower stage would not be the factor of formations, because the ignorance of that stage has not yet arisen. Therefore the unwholesome root of delusion pervades the initiation of the three karmas.
