3.43

已熟未熟業者，景云：前是生熟果竟功能盡業，後是功能仍續。基云：過去及現在正生果業名已熟業，未來及現在當生果業名未熟業。三性業中，有覆無記亦名無記業，非三善根三不善根為因緣故。

Regarding ‘ripened karma and unripened karma’: Jing says: ‘The former is karma whose capacity is exhausted after having produced its ripened fruit; the latter is karma whose capacity still continues.’ Ji says: ‘Karma of the past and present that is currently producing fruit is called ripened karma; karma of the future and present that will produce fruit is called unripened karma.’ Among the karmas of the three natures, obscured indeterminate (nivṛtāvyākṛta) is also called indeterminate karma, because it does not take the three wholesome roots or the three unwholesome roots as its causal condition.
