Seventh, emptiness is not among the sixteen aspects, because it takes the non-existence of the two selves as its object and does not take the truths as its object; the wishless subsumes twelve aspects and the signless subsumes four; or the wishless subsumes eight and the signless also eight, because they are the essences of the two gates of the other-dependent and the consummate; for the seventy-fourth fascicle states that the three gates of liberation contemplate the imagined nature and so forth respectively. Eighth, all sixteen aspects extend to the three aspects: within the single non-conceptual knowledge, sixteen aspects are conceptually designated, and the three gates of liberation are conceptually designated as mutually subsuming; this is just what was explained earlier about differing aspects with identical objects. The Vijñaptimātratā also states: 'The objective spheres of the three gates of liberation and the three natures mutually subsume one another, and in principle and reality all are universally pervaded.' In this way eight differing textual passages are briefly explained.
