自下第二解有尋伺等三，西方多言：尋伺在方便地不在初禪根本，唯除無漏諸三摩地者，此說感生上地三三摩地無漏不生，故除之也。

Next below is the second section, explaining the three [concentrations], with investigation and reflection and so on. In the Western regions, it is mostly said that investigation and reflection are in the preparatory ground and not in the fundamental first dhyāna, 'except only for all taintless samādhis'; this refers to the three samādhis that cause rebirth into higher grounds, where the taintless does not produce rebirth, which is why they are excluded.
