4.34

初中有三：初引經標，次隨別釋，後世尊於無漏方便下，釋三摩地與解脫前後妨難，欲所引喜等顯示所離，所證轉依無為名離故。

Within the first, there are three parts: first, citing the sūtra to present [it]; next, explaining each separately; finally, under 'the World-Honoured One, regarding taintless means...', it resolves the difficulty concerning the sequence of samādhi and liberation. The joy and so forth induced by desire demonstrate what is to be separated from, because the unconditioned [state] of āśrayaparavṛtti that is realized is called 'separation'.
