According to the third master: one takes only a single moment of the taintless base of nothingness taking the cessation truth—nirvāṇa—as its object. In terms of the truth, being taintless and not tainted, it is called 'unmoving'; in terms of the stage, it is called the 'base of nothingness'; in terms of the objective referent, it is called 'signless'. The contact associated with that possesses all three designations, and when entering that mind, it is called 'the three contacts'.
